Just want to pass along a very well researched article about why we should stick with our incandescent light bulbs.
“People are reporting migraines, rashes and epileptic seizures caused by the CFLs. Lessor concerns are general ill feelings, achy joints, anxiety and common headaches. I’ve had one report of school children gaining 20 IQ points when moved from a CFL environment to natural light augmented with incandescent light.”
This blog post was all it needed to convince me, I’m never buying these things.http://groovygreenlivin.com/how-to-clean-up-a-broken-compact-fluorescent-light-bulb-cfl/
Thank you for this post.
Flourescent lighting in public places has caused significant health issues for me, over the past forty years. The introduction of CFL’s into homes – well, it’s not something I have ever considered wise.
LED bulbs?
I think the hype over saving money was washed down heavily and put a lot of people at risk.
I recently came across this article about how tiny cracks in the phosphor surface coating of nearly all compact fluorescent bulbs allows UV rays to escape and possibly cause skin cancer. Incandescent bulbs are starting to look better to me.
