Question from Barbara
Looking for some no iron safe sheets. What is your recommendation? Thank You
Lisa’s Answer
Sheets that are labelled as “wrinkle free” or other no iron claims should be avoided because they often contain formaldehyde. I always recommend GOTS certified organic sheets. I have found that flannel sheets require the least ironing of the different types of GOTS certified organic sheets I have used.
I also have been loving a set of linen/cotton sheets a neighbor was selling (new in the package) in 2016. They are warmer in the winter but not hot in the summer, and I love how they feel! They don’t wrinkle much at all – not that I would iron if they did.
I also bought some extra 100% linen pillow cases from Life Giving Linen, and for some reason they are very special! I love having my face on them, so ordered a couple custom size cases for the travel size alpaca pillow that is my main under-my-head pillow. Just delightful!! https://www.lifegivinglinen.com
Hi Barbara, I’ve switched to 100% linen sheets. Here’s my experience with them…the edge seams get wrinkled but other than that the sheets don’t have a wrinkling problem out of the dryer. Pillowcases can be a little tricky so sometimes I hang them to dry. They do get a little baggy after sleeping on them so I just give the bottom sheet a gentle tug so that the extra is at the foot and I never notice it. I can’t imagine going back to my previous cotton sheets. I adore linen sheets!
