Question from Shelly
Hello Debra. I thought I read about a rebounder on your site but can’t find any links. Do you have an opinion about using rebounders (mini-trampolines)?
Thanks,
Shelly
Debra’s Answer
Yes. My opinion is they are great exercise. Especially to move the lymph system, which is vital for moving toxic chemicals out of your body. Unlike your blood, which moves by the action of the pumping of your heart, your lymph fluid moves only when you move your body. So daily exercise is extremely important.
The problem is that all the rebounders I’ve ever seen are made from some material that smells very strongly right out of the box. However, it does outgas fairly quickly. I have my rebounder in a corner of my living room and it doesn’t smell at all.
If you can rebound outdoors with fresh air, that would be all the better.
I love my ReboundAir, could never part with it. I wake up with headaches, back pain and I do about 25 – 30 minutes every morning, moderately bouncing. Aches clear up.
Question: HOW TO CLEAN THE MESH JUMPING SURFACE?!
White film/odor from my bare feet. (Find socks too slippery, shoes
don’t feel right to wear while on it).
Ask the manufacturer how to clean it.
I wanted the Bellicon model but could not afford it.
I instead purchased a Cellerciser from Craigslist for $200 though they sell for about $400 new.
I love my rebounder!
Both are models are designed NOT to cause injury to the ankles and knees. Your cheaper rebounders likely not offer such protection.

I just saw this post about rebounding. I purchased a rebounder about 7 months ago & may I attest that I absolutely love it! The brand I bought was a Bellicon brand, and it is the best out there. Thing is however, it is extremely expensive. I’m talking about $700. But I think it is surely overpriced, yet worth every penny.
You see, I have read about the wonderful benefits of rebounding. I know that I am a lazy sorty of person. But rebounding is very easy. You can rebound while watching TV or outside as Debra said. It really gets the blood flowing & detoxes extremebly well so they say. It’s the only form of exercise I’ve truly been able to stick to faithfully. And I do feel better for it!
I am suggesting the Bellicon Rebounder because I know it’s the best. Other rebounders I’ve had & tried incorporate springs. That spring type wracked my neck & back & were NOT easy on the joints. The Bellicon is a bungee cord type that is truly so gentle a jump is ridiculously fabulous on my body. It is much for efficient & easier on the body than jogging. I could never run due to my joints and neck and back.
Anyway, I am not affiliated with Bellicon at all, but I wish I was. I tout this rebounder all the time. Expense is the only downfall, but I wish everyone could own one.
Bellicon rebounders are German designed and they have a few distributors here in the USA. Just google “Bellicon” and you can find out more on this brand. Here is where I bought mine, from a great lady Sylvia: http://www.qibounding.com/index.html
That my two cents on rebounding. Sorry, I know I sound like a commercial but, It rocks!
Here is a wonderful article about rebounding! 🙂

A wonderful, more affordable alternative to the Bellicon, is the JumpSport bungee fitness rebounder. I previously had a ReboundAir, which is considered one of the best mini trampolines. It was great, but NOISY. Then three years ago I bought a JumpSport bungee rebounder, and the difference was amazing! The JumpSport is sooooo quiet, has a very smooth bounce, and you can even quickly and easily adjust the firmness of the bounce to your own preference. It’s one of the best fitness investments I’ve ever made. They sell them on Amazon, and I suggest checking out all the information about them at the JumpSport web site:

I have no affiliation with JumpSport, I just think their bungee rebounders are terrific, and recommend them to everyone!
