Question from HEG
Debra,
Do you or any of your dog-owning readers know of a nontoxic preventive application for fleas/tics on dogs?
Debra’s Answer
I’ve never had a dog so, readers, what are your recommendations?

I am interested to know where one can get the food grade diatomaceous earth? And very interested to try this and vinegar for the tick prevention.
My rescue dog from a warm Caribbean location came loaded with fleas. In one month of a couple baths in water and a gentle environmental child shampoo, healthy diet (org home made food, including raw meat), and adding B vitamins and garlic (as per pitcairns recommendations…it is only a minute amt as more/too much is possibly toxic). They were gone. So completely so that several sceptical vets who combed him could not find one!
