Question from CMP
I never thought about it until after the fact…got 4 new tires put on my SUV today & the smell of them & in the inside of my vehicle is now intolerable. I have MCS, multiple allergies (including latex) & asthma. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do? I use many of the EnviroKlenz products & was wondering if washing the tires with their product might help? I’d appreciate any help.

Do you think the charcoal bags that you mention above will help get rid of the new/plastic smell inside a refrigerator? I think I will be needing a new fridge very soon, and I remember years and years ago how hard it was to get rid of the smells inside of it. Thanks.
I haven’t tried them in a refrigerator but they do work to remove odor is small spaces like cars and closets. They are inexpensive so worth a try.
Are you bringing in outside air? Make sure you’re re-circulating vent is on so you’re not bringing in outside air. How else would this tire smell be entering the inside of your vehicle? You may have to have that checked to see if it’s operating properly. Ours was not. We just got new tires as well and I have MCS. We left the car outside for several days in Florida heat to off-gas. It worked. So, keep this vehicle outside of the garage for awhile. I have an air purifier in my car (Americaire) which helps. Sometimes I will spray vinegar/water combo in my interior to freshen my car of odors. I will also try some charcoal bags.
Yes, it works. Had to spray 3 days in a row. However, it left a white film on my cement in driveway. It took 2 rain storms to wash it away. So spray in street or on a plastic tarp.
