Hi! I have tried following masks to prevent chemical odors when I go out but in turn They irritated my nose and caused pain:
3m 8577 mask, I can breath mask(honey com mask carbon filter filter mask, 3m big silicon mask for protect from chemicals.
Are there any good mcs mask works well?
Any suggestions! an interstate battery was placed onto interior passenger seat floorboard. To be installed at a later date. Car sat and when mechanic was ready to install, there was a leak and acid ate up the entire carpeting. Odor spread throughout car Absorbed into the materials. Any suggestions. When I called co. And asked what the leak was they did NOT tell me it was acid! 2002 had from new, worked well for me, now sick unable to drive it. Dealership said they can’t fix, detailed didn’t want acid exposure to his employee! Which mask can help?Thank you!
Larry says baking soda with neutralize battery acid. Don’t know if this will solve the odor problem but it’s a place to start.
I don’t think a mask is the answer.
I’ve tried lots of masks, and none of them are comfortable. They need to fit snuggly so they don’t leak, or they are useless. I use an activated charcoal mask with a 1″ thick filter, hand made by a lady in Texas. They come in various colors, which make them more fun to wear. I have seen similar products which come in white only. The thinner masks don’t work well enough for me. I wore a full face industrial mask while cleaning out moldy stuff. It worked reasonably well, but you wouldn’t want to wear it in public.
Would you please pass along the contact information for the mask that you get?
I have mcs and still don’t know what mask to try. wondered what others have to say about the ones they have tried
Brenda, buy an “I can breathe mask” from Adrienne. Her number is 1-773-643-1062. Tell her you’d like the organic cotton mask that John Landau ordered from her. They are usually 36.00. I think she has a few left that she marked down to 18.00. It works pretty good. Wash in cold water w/Castile soap, let air dry. Never put in dryer or hot water or it will shrink. It’s the best one that I can find that is comfortable and effective.
