Question from Brenda S
Hi Debra,
I was wondering if anyone has had a experiences with Kahrs or Mannington engineered hardwood floors. From what I have read on the websites of these companys Mannington uses formaldehyde free adhesives and Kahrs said theirs is very low in emissions. Kahrs also uses a uv fininsh with no aluminum oxide finish. Thanks.

Readers? Any experience with these?
I also just wanted to add that we recently installed Kahrs Flooring from their Original line in our downstairs and it is wonderful. My husband installed it as a floating floor. It takes a little conjooling to get them glooved together but it was very simple and went quickly. The product is made very well, there were practically no defects. As for odor, upon opening the boxes, there is a wood odor which reminds me of a saw mill. This dissipates rather quickly, I’d say within a day or so. I did not detect any glue or finish chemical smells.
