Cute and colorful baby clothes made from 100% organic Egyptian cotton. The company was founded in 1998 when Janice was having a hard time finding real organic cotton baby clothing. Janice and her husband Mohamed worked hard together to develop their vision for a very special organic cotton clothing company. As an Egyptian, Mohamed was familiar with the thousands-year-old tradition of cotton production in Egypt. So they went to Egypt and found a partner there to product their cotton. “No chemicals or pesticides are ever used throughout the entire cultivation and production process.”

Hi Debra,
What about Egyptian Cotton? We found a blanket at Walmart that is Egyptian Cotton. It is not organic. But is Egyptian Cotton safe to use if it is not organic?
Egyptian cotton is grown in the rich soil beside the Nile River. There conditions are ideal to grown long cotton fibers called “staples. Fibers from Egyptian cotton are substantially longer than the staples from regular cotton. This results in more uninterrupted fiber when making yarns and threads.
These extra-long fibers can also be turned into very fine yarn. Finer yarn allows more threads-per-inch. More threads-per-inch results in a fabric that is stronger, softer, and more durable. Eqyptian cotton sheets last much longer than regular cotton, so they may be more economical over time even though they cost more to purchase.
Egyptian cotton is also a lot more porous, so it soaks up more perspirations while you are sleeping.
Just like other regular cotton, Egyptian cotton is available conventionally grown and organically grown.
I think it’s always better to get organic.
