Products specifically designed to remove odors and chemical pollutants from laundry. Yes, they remove scent and tobacco smoke from clothing, bedding, and other fabrics such as curtains and upholstery. They also remove scented detergent residues from the washer itself, allowing you to wash clothes safely in public machines in laundromats and apartment buildings (this product also prevents colors from running). They were inspired by the special needs of people with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS), who require a home environment as free from toxic chemicals as possible. These products remove both natural and chemical odors. They do not contain perfumes or fragrances, but instead capture and destroy chemicals that cause odors for true odor and chemical elimination. They are made from safe, natural earth minerals.A unique and advanced manufacturing process greatly enhances the beneficialodor neutralizing properties of the earth minerals and retain their natural safety characteristics. The earth minerals include Magnesium Oxide (MgO), Zinc Oxide (ZnO), and Titanium Dioxide (TiO2). Safe for use around children and pets. Comes in liquid and powder form for all laundry needs. What type of laundry detergent is best used with these products? I unfortunately bought under the impression that I wouldn’t need laundry detergent. I haven’t been using laundry detergent—just water and occasionally baking soda in the wash cycle and then vinegar in the rinse due to having a reaction to dozens of laundry detergents—I’ve literally tried everything. Any suggestions for me? My resulting symptoms are primarily neurological, cardiovascular and endocrine.
I asked EnviroKlenz for an answer to your question and here it is:
“Any free and clear detergent will work well with Enviroklenz. The only reason you would need a detergent is because we do not have a surfactant for dirt and grime removal. For strict deodorization you can use as a stand alone but when used in conjunction with a free and clear you will get optimal results.”
Have you tried Dizolve or Eco Me? Both are truly non-toxic.
Could someone tell me what the actual ingredients in this product are? The seller doesn’t disclose on Amazon either. My experience is it’s a bad sign when ingredients are hard to find.
The actual ingredients of this product are on the EnviroKlenz website. If you click through to the website, click on their menu at the top where it says “EnviroKlenz Ingredients.” And if you go to the “Shop” link and choose this product the specific ingredients for this product are listed there.
I agree with you that it’s a bad sign when ingredients are hard to find, but in this case, it is a GREAT sign that they provide so much explanation about the materials they use.
My son bought some Hawaiian shirts at a thrift shop to take to Hawaii on vacation. While I have severe MCS, he does not and even he had a hard time around those shirts. I’d just bought my first bottle of the laundry enhancer so he tried it on those shirts. After a 24 hours soak, rise and regular wash the shirts had zero smell to them!
I would like to note that my experience with their costumer service has been excellent. I feel welcome and free to ask all my silly questions with knowledge that I will still be treated with respect.
Thank you for your recommendations Debra.
