Hi I wanted to buy tghis from iherb but came across this warning “”[California Residents Proposition 65] Warning: This product contains trace amounts of lead, a substance known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. This product may not be appropriate for consumption by children or pregnant women.“”
Is there any cause for concern?
I’m not concerned about this. I used to live in California and Prop 65 goes way overboard to the point where it’s meaningless.
Lead is everywhere. You can’t avoid it. You would get more lead exposure walking on a city street than using this salt.
There are also many good minerals, and it’s mined from deep within the earth so it’s a lot less polluted than sea salt which contains pollutants from our present time surface waters.
